3 Reasons Three Reasons Your Robot Vacuum And Mop Is Broken (And How To Repair It)

Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos

Robot vacuums and mop are getting more powerful. They have passed our tests for cleaning, and are able to handle various floors. Find models that let you choose from multiple modes, use their charging dock to self-empty, and clean up the stairs.

A lot of the top models work with your smartphone. Look for an app that lets you save maps, set schedules, and choose cleaning modes.

1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro

The black and gloss gunmetal Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is among the most impressive mop and robot vacuum combos available. It uses lidar to navigate, create maps of floors and rooms (even multiple levels) and integrates with the free Eufy Clean app to let you set up schedules and modify the S1's behavior.

The S1 was able to map my downstairs quickly, which includes linoleum flooring in the kitchen, dining room, and bathrooms, as well as medium-pile and a large rug. It was able to drive close to walls and even over thresholds that are raised without issue. However, it had some difficulty navigating down the stairs in one go. The S1 also did an excellent job cleaning hard floors, with its mop driving smoothly on its flat side against the floor, and then lifting itself when it reached carpet or rug.

The S1's docking station automatically emptys its trash bin and fills its water tank onboard with clean, ozonated waters prior to each mopping session. The dock provides an extra-deep cleaning solution to the water. The S1's water tank can hold enough water for about a dozen cleaning sessions before it needs to be empty, but this will vary depending on how often you use the mop.

Like all 2-in-1 robots, the S1 requires periodic maintenance to ensure that it's operating efficiently. You'll need to periodically rinse out the tank that has been contaminated to keep it from becoming clogged. It is also necessary to clean the swivel wheel and sensors regularly to prevent them from getting blocked by dirt or dust. However, overall, the S1 is easy to maintain, especially when compared to other combos that require more hands-on maintenance.

2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete

This all-in-1 robot mop and vacuum combo from Ecovacs is a powerful option for cleaning needs. The Ecovacs robot vacuum comes with 8,700Pa suction power and comes with many innovative features including voice control and smart path planning that cleans around furniture and avoids obstacles. Its mopping capability is impressive. Rotating mop heads actually lift the floor and scrub it instead of simply moving a pad across the surface. The mops are cleaned and dried at the base station, as required.

This robot combo has an easy-to-use interface that guides you throughout the process. It also comes with a hand-vacuum that can be utilized to clean those difficult to reach areas that the robot cannot reach. There are also two water tanks which are automatically filled or empty. It also has a number of useful settings to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.

The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does a good job at vacuuming, with strong suction that easily picks up most debris and even the tiny dust particles that other robots struggle with. Its navigation abilities are also pretty good, although it could get stuck on small area mats and rugs at my home (which you can mitigate by creating virtual boundaries within the app). Its mopping capabilities are also very good with a pair of spinning mop heads that lift and scrub the floor instead of simply moving the pad across it. The mops are also cleaned using heated water and dried in the base station as required. Mops can also be replenished at the top of the station if they are required.

3. Dreame X40 Ultra

Dreame released the luxe X30 Ultra earlier this year however their latest flagship robot mop and vacuum has more impressive features. It has outstanding cleaning performance and hands-off maintenance which makes it a strong contender on our top mop and robot vacuum list. Its superior mapping abilities, RGB AI smart detection and an extended side brush ensure that a thorough, customized clean is achieved.

The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, removing fine and large debris from hard floors as well as carpets. It was able to clean the dirtiest areas of our tests with ease by avoiding pet hairs as well as other mess. The sweeping performance is augmented by a side brush that automatically extends to reach hard-to-reach corners, and an extendable mop pad that is placed along baseboards.

Its navigation system is nimble it can navigate through small spaces and negotiating stairways without skipping a step. It is able to move from one room to the next without needing to reverse the direction. This is beneficial for homes that have multiple rooms. Its obstacle avoidance is less advanced than the ones of other competitors and leaves a wide margin between obstacles. This can lead to missed spots.

The app's interface is intuitive and easy to use. It should be simple to use for both novices and experienced users. The app lets you schedule and manage cleanings. You can also alter suction power, mop settings and look up 3-D and 2-D maps. You can control it through the app, Alexa or Google Assistant. You can also use the X40 Ultra's camera remotely to get real-time video monitoring. You will require a reliable WiFi connection to use the app and external controls.

4. Roomba Q5 Pro

A robot vacuum does an excellent job of picking up debris and dirt, but it can't always be able to reach every bit of dust. This is why it's important to use your regular vacuum once every week, and especially to clean dust from corners, on shelves and in the crevices of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro, a 2-in-1 robot that vacuums and mop, is designed to accomplish this.  auto vacuum  is easy to connect to your home Wi-Fi network and works with Alexa or Apple Siri.

The Q5 is a stripped-down version of the more expensive S-series models from the company, including the flagship Roborock S8 maxV ultra. It is equipped with the same LIDAR mapping sensors, but it's cheaper since it doesn't have mopping capabilities, and also has plastic body.

Even though it's not able to clean your floors, the Q5 has some of the best vacuum and mopping performance we've seen from a robot at this price. It's got a powerful suction power of 5500Pa and an auto-empty system, so you don't have to manually empty the bin every time. It also features a smart app that lets you select the type of floor and schedule cleanings, as well as an automatic water tank refill and wash system that allows hands-free operation.

Its mops are also impressive with their 2700Pa capacity to tackle dirt and pet hair, on both carpets and hard flooring. The Q5 was one of the few robots that we tested that did not have problems with high-pile carpets and rugs. However, it could not pick up kitty-litter or cable tangles. This isn't surprising as it doesn't have AI-powered obstacle-avoidance features.

5. K10 Plus

K10 Plus is one of the quietest robot vacuums we've tested. It also uses a unique system to map your home this really helps it get into the corners and tight spaces that other vacuums cannot reach. The device also collects dust in a bigger dustbin which means you need empty it less frequently. Furthermore, it comes with washable filters, which reduces the costs associated with using the device. The robot can recognize carpets and increase suction when needed. You can also mark areas you want the robot to avoid using the app.
