The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst for Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.

He reviews and tests cleaning equipment, with a focus on mopping and robot vacuum combos. Multitaskers can be ideal for those who are looking to get rid of mopping off their list of tasks. They are equipped with impressive mapping and obstacle avoidance, and some wash and refill their own mopping pads for a hands-off clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model you should choose if you want a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It's smaller than the other models and makes it easier to maneuver in tight spaces or under furniture. It uses a 220 degree lidar, which when combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the most effective navigation and obstacle avoidance I've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. It comes with a massive 4600mAh battery that lasts for up to 170-minutes if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can last longer in turbo). It can even return to its dock to replenish its battery mid-clean.

It's extremely quick and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways with just one motion. The motor's 8,000pa power allows it to remove dirt hair, pet hair, and poop with ease. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects rugs and the double side brushes help to clean debris from corners.

The mopping performance is a little less impressive, but not by much. The mop's rotating motor spins at a high speed and is pushed down with 2.2lbs of force, easily scraping away dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a bit more than other robots. This is useful when getting into narrow corners or along baseboards. Those same front arms can be employed to clean larger pieces of debris, such as broken toys and fallen books.

Another nice feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the most quiet robot vacuums and mops I've ever used. It is quieter and doesn't produce as much noise when vacuuming or mopping. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must utilize a specific mopping solution and is sold separately. It is easy to install, and it works well. However when you purchase this robot vacuum to mop it is important to pay attention to this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It is equipped with a broad array of features that make it a great choice for homeowners who want a highly effective, versatile, and customizable cleaning machine.

The device is equipped with a powerful cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This allows it to map out the house and detect furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean efficiently and intelligently. This will ensure an even and thorough clean, while also being relatively fast.

In terms of mopping, the Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can be used to reach many different surface areas. This includes baseboards, corners and other difficult to reach spots. They also come with a stretchy side brush that extends to reach the floor near walls and other fixtures. The mop pads are washable and can be dried to remove odors and prevent buildup.

App-based customization is yet another noteworthy feature. The Q Revo lets you adjust the intensity of its suction, and choose between a back-andforth, or a more randomized pattern. You can also set the number of passes it will make, which will affect the speed at which the device can move around your home.  automatic vacuum  can also turn off the side brush in order to prevent damage to carpets and rug.

The device comes with a expensive price, but is packed with a wide array of advanced features. It's important to keep in mind that it has regular costs, such as mopping supplies and maintenance. For example the brushroll has to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to twelve months. The filter must be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pad should be replaced every three to six months.

This robot vacuum mop is a top Amazon rating and includes an array of physical automation features. This includes an energy button that doubles as a general 'Clean button, as well as a 'Home' button that will send it back to its base station after finishing the cleaning process. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically emptys the trash bin, fills up its water tank, and cleans and dry its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

If you're a professional with a lot of work or just want an organized home that doesn't require hours doing chores then the Shark Matrix Plus is a good option. Its incredibly fast performance, sophisticated navigation, and long battery life make it easy to maintain a clean house with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop which means it can handle both vacuuming and mopping. It has two modules: a combined dry bin and reservoir of water, and a separate mopping module with a microfiber pad that snaps into and out of position. It's a bit old-fashioned to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping but it does mean you don't have to worry about changing the bags for disposables or refilling the tank with water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming and mopping. Its most impressive feature was its accurate floorplan that it uses to draw the path to follow when cleaning. It was easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture carpets, rugs and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' and virtual barriers to prevent certain areas from being cleaned by a mop.

We also found that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well at picking up hair from pets. It was able capture the majority of hair shed by our cats and even found its way into the nooks and crannies of our stairs while other robots struggled. The noise levels of the robot were low and there were pleasant jingles to signal that it was in the process of getting its work done.

The biggest flaws were its lack of sophistication and the need to change out the modules when switching between vacuuming and mopping. The app cannot save multiple maps. This can be an issue if your house has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those who want an intelligent robot that can perform both mopping and vacuuming.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our review, but it has some unique features that make it worth taking into consideration. The X1 Omni's biggest draw is its huge dock, which doubles as a charging base and housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a cleaning sink and an automatic 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically eliminates.

The base has a couple of buttons for control that allow you to manually start cleaning tasks or recall the robot, or run the dock’s auto-emptying procedure. Hold down two of the buttons to toggle a child lock that is a great touch for parents worried about their children playing with the vacuum.

The X1 Omni, like other robotic vacuums, utilizes its camera to identify obstacles and furniture that are in its path. It will stay clear of them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni could sometimes get so entangled with obstacles, like a power cord draped across a rug that it becomes stuck and ceases to function until you free it. Although this is not a common occurrence but it was a very frustrating experience when it did happen, especially since the X1 Omni doesn't have a "stuck" status alert on its application.

The X1 Omni isn't able to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming mode during the cleaning process. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad however, the mopping pad doesn't get washed or dried between uses. This can cause mildew and mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame), who created its sleek modern, contemporary base and mopping pad. It's a significant departure from the utilitarian, all-black bases used by competitors like Roborock and iRobot and is a refreshing view in a market that is dominated by bulky, boxy units.
